What is the Barbasol Championship?
The Barbasol Championship is Kentucky’s only PGA TOUR event which will be played on July 16-22, 2018 at Champions at Keene Trace. The tournament, played the same weekend as the British Open, will be broadcast live each day on Golf Channel and one of only 45 regular-season tournaments before the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Where will the tournament be played?
Champions at Keene Trace will play host to the tournament. Located just 20 minutes from downtown Lexington, Champions is one of the finest courses in the state and has previously played host to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship, USGA Senior Amateur Championship, Men’s & Women’s SEC Championships, Kentucky Open and Kentucky Amateur Championship.
What are players competing for?
PGA TOUR players will be competing for a purse of $3,500,000 and 300 FedEx Cup points.
How can I get involved?
The tournament will utilize more than 1,500 volunteers during tournament week. Volunteer registration will begin in the spring.

Week-long grounds passes are now on-sale through Ticketmaster. Daily grounds passes and upgraded hospitality tickets will be go on-sale in November.

Does my child need a ticket?
All youths 16 years and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult ticket holder, Thursday – Sunday. This excludes access into hospitality areas.
How will I get to the course?
Due to limited on-site parking, the tournament will be offering shuttle service for fans on tournament week. Additional information on parking and shuttles will be released in the spring.

The tournament is estimated to provide more than $20 million in economic impact for the local community and provide worldwide exposure of Central Kentucky through tournament broadcasts on Golf Channel.
Additionally, the event will support local charities with tournament proceeds being invested in the local community. The PGA TOUR and its tournaments donated more than $166 million to charitable causes in 2016 and has generated $2.46 billion for charity in its history.
